I have a fill-in-the-blank book called The World According to…… (fill in your child’s name) and each year Brooke’s answers get more thoughtful than hilarious. She’s growing up *sniff* but it is also very cool to see. One section is called “Politics” and the questions was, “If you could make a law that everyone had to obey, what would it be?” Her answer? “People do not throw stuff away! Recycle everything!” Granted, this was right after Earth Day and Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle was all she could talk about since then, but it still made me smile. But, it did more than that, it made me want to be a better recycler. She inherits the earth from me and there are so many ways that we can make our lives more eco-friendly.
But – eating on recycled plates?!? YES. Green Toys has done it again by taking their recycling mission to all the major food groups. And, it is delicious!
Green Eats Divided Plates are made from 100% recycled plastic milk containers! Seriously. Totally made from milk containers. Their colorful, reusable Divided Plates are ultra-safe and contain no BPA, melamine, or phthalates. Which means – they ARE dishwasher safe! The plates are a nice 9 1/2″ diameter that make perfect portions for our girls. The divided plates can come in two-packs (one for each of our kids) and are packed using only recycled and recyclable materials. Don’t you love when eco-friendly companies also do the same with packaging? Score. Brooke is especially proud that she gets to eat off of recycled plates and has already told anyone who will listen to do the same. Green Toys – Are you hiring kids to market for your company?!? Ha!
