OK, Parents! I think I have found the perfect summer toy activity for your kids. It has hours of fun and educational play that boys and girls will love. It has moldable sand, glows in the dark and you can make volcanos, dinosaur tracks and hunt for dinosaur skeletons. Intrigued? I was! This product comes from a company called Sands Alive! and it’s like kinetic sand on steroids.

While Sands Alive! has many great play sand kits available our most favorite is the Glow Volcano World. Maybe it’s because of all the hype from the new Jurassic Park movie or perhaps its just because volcanos, dinosaurs and things that GLOW never go out of style. For whatever reason, my oldest daughter is going GAGA over this prehistoric adventure set.

I am not quite sure how to explain the consistency of this sand that only contains natural, non toxic and organic ingredients, but it shapes and molds perfectly and bacteria will never grow on it. The set includes 1lb of play sand with plastic molds of volcanos, dinosaur skeletons and a whole lot more (12 pieces in all) so your child feels like they are back in the age of the dinosaurs. The set comes with a pair of UV LED glasses and a UV pen light that lights up all the plastic materials in the set so you get to have a glowing experience on top of the play. This has been hours of fun and easy to clean and is perfect for children age three and up. Highly recommended!
