I don’t know what it is about Austin but there is something in this climate that makes it a breeding ground for roaches. It may have been luck or location, but I had never experienced having to keep my home roach-free until I moved to the capitol of Texas. Each year it becomes what we have dubbed, “Open Roach Season” and Bob and I try our best to combat the critters with effective solutions while keeping us (like using non-aerosol solutions) safe.

Roaches are a particularly fast-producing and fast-moving insect that can pose a variety of health risks so it is important to combat them in your home. Roaches can trigger asthma as well as bring disease through their germs. EWWW! So not only do roaches look yucky they are also carriers of nasty things.

As scientist now know, cockroaches make collective decisions and use voting and quorums to decided where to live and move, so creating a roach control system in your home not only helps rid it of current cockroaches, it is to prevent them from coming back in the future. We have been using the PIC Roach Control Systems to combat roaches this summer and have been very pleased with the results. While we spotted a roach or two after some particularly raining weekends here in Austin, we were able to get rid of them in a safe, fast, and effective way using PIC’s roach stations and prisons.
