I’m convinced that holidays are the most fun for parents. We get to eat Santa’s cookies, hide Easter baskets and flex those imagination muscles more than we probably do in a full year. As my daughters get older, my oldest in particular, they want more proof of things like Santa and his reindeer. No matter how much she suspects things like the Easter bunny are not ‘real’, she loves to pretend and keep up the charade and we go to great lengths to make it all the more exciting for her. She has the rest of her adult life to know fairy tales are just pretend and I don’t want to burst that bubble just yet.
