Adopt-A-Shelter-Pet Month With HarperCollins Childrens’ Books

“A person is the best thing to happen to a shelter pet. Be that person. Adopt.”

I will confess, this title is slightly misleading.  June is officially Adopt-A-Shelter Cat Month but we all know that shelter animals continue to need assistance in adopting pets all over the united states.  We have a household of three adopted cats and that have brought much joy to our lives, albeit a lot of love, attention and work.  They are worth every second of it.  That said, I’m going to talk about a few new HarperCollins children’s books that reflect the adopted of new pets for kids!  Let’s celebrate Adopt-A-Shelter Pet Month together!

Puppy  Two Girls Wants a Puppy (HarperCollins, June 2015), List Price: $ 17.99

Based on a true story about two sisters and their creative plan to adopt a puppy.  Brought to life by Maple Lam’s charming illustrations, this adorable picture book about two girls who want to adopt a puppy will delight young readers.

Kitty  Itty Bitty Kitty (HarperCollins, May 2015), List Price: $ 17.99

Ava REALLY wants a kitten.  The issue is, itty bitty kitty keeps growing and growing!  Kids will learn the importance of adopting animals together as a family and that all little kitties grow up to be wonderful BIG cat pets.

Brocolli  Who Wants Broccoli?  (HarperCollins, June 2015), List Price: $ 17.99

Broccoli is a lovable but rambunctious dog who wants to find a home.  Broccoli lives at Beezley’s Animal Shelter and loves to show off his bowl-tossing and tail-chasing skills—and especially his great big BARK!  He dreams of playing in a yard with a child, but will Broccoli find his perfect home?
