Hair Twister (Fashion for Moms)‏

This innovative hair product is first to market!

I’ve been thinking a lot about hair.  My hair.  My horrible, frizzy/curly hair I straighten with a hot iron on an almost daily basis.  I always heard I’d appreciate having curly hair when I got older.  Now that I’m older, how much older did they mean?  80?  I’m all for loving yourself and all that, but I have still yet to embrace my natural hair.  I want to, but it’s hard.  I’m so used to seeing it straight and when I let it dry naturally and try to just style it, it is quite unruly.

My curly hair is not what you see in magazines and the movies.  It doesn’t look like…well, like the picture I attached below.  That picture, my friends, is from a product called Hair Twister.  The product attaches to your hair dryer (or you can purchase a ForStyler hairdryer that is specifically designed for the product at the below website) and it is supposed to twist your hair into perfectly styled parts.  Sure, I had my doubts my hair would look this nice, but if I wanted to try to accept my hairs natural curls, it didn’t seem to far a stretch to style it with a blow dryer in what looks to be a simple manner.  Right?

Curls Would my hair look this this?!?
Even before I started, I may have a slight issue since my hair dryer barrel size is exactly two inches.  The site says for the best results with Hair Twister that the hair dryer barrel size should be smaller than 2 inch.  Oops.  The ForStyler makes styling hair curls looks so easy that any ordinary person can do it.  I’d like to think I’m an ordinary person, right?  I shouldn’t have any issues and here are the super easy five-steps on the website to get these amazing curls:
5 Easy Steps for Amazing Look
Wash and comb hair. Dry the hair roots only, leave the rest damp.1
Comb the hair and divide into four parts.2
Attach the Twister to blow dryer and change the direction of the valve as desired, style each part for 2-3 minutes.
3
Assemble the cover and barrel to the Twister. Change the valve direction. Combine the two hair parts and style to lock the ends. Repeat with remaining two parts.
4Wait 5-7 minutes and go through with fingertips from the roots to ends. Apply any desired styling product for longer lasting results.5

So while I’m still blasting heat on my hair to get it to style in to curls, using the Hair Twister would mean a more natural hair state look for me but even BETTER.  When I was younger before I realized hot irons even existed, I’d take my damp hair and twist it into a bun to let it air dry to get some sort of organization to the curly frizz, but it would always be uneven.  It had to be the perfect temperature and air drying method to get nice ringlets and even then any sort of hint of dampness in the air meant that few seconds of ‘perfect’ were ruined.  Hair Twister is the first step at my coming to terms with having curly hair and I’m looking forward to trying it out and, yes, my readers, I’m going to tell you my experience.

Overview:  The Hair Twister was extremely easy to use and did not take a lot of time before my curls were set.  I love that you start by styling your hair when it is damp since I am always looking for short cuts in getting ready and my current hair time of frying flat my hair means I have to let it air dry completely before I start.  Time Saved!  Yes.  I also like how it makes the curls look even and really natural as the top of my hair just kind of did what it wanted which gave my look some body.  I did use some hair styling products to get any fly-away hairs to stay under control when I was done, but that may just go with curly-hair territory.  While it doesn’t look as perfectly styled as the pictures, it looks great.  I have curly hair.  OMG!  I’m not running for my hot iron or wearing a hat!  I actually like the way it looks.  Maybe even love it.   Wow.  I’m sure you will get slightly different results for those with straight or ultra curly hair, but for someone like me with frizzy ringlet hair, this is probably a pretty accurate result for you.  My friends, I know I previously said this would never happen, but get ready to see me with curly hair.  Le gasp!
