Bite Beauty Deconstructed Rose Lipstick Trio (Fashion for Moms)‏

Bite Beauty is a make-up company in Toronto that creates lipstick that is high performing yet healthy enough to eat. While I don’t think any of us are going to start eating our lip colors anytime soon, the Bite Beauty Deconstructed Rose Lipstick Trio certainly smells good enough to imbibe. As someone who normally shuns lipstick due to having dry lips, I discovered Bite Beauty is not your average lipstick.

Not quite knowing which shade would work best for me (like I said, it’s a rare occasion I wear it!), I was highly anticipating this Bite Beauty trio because they are loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and the essential oil, Rose Otto. You may have guessed from my previous posts that I’m a little obsessed with the Rose fragrance, so I know the smell of it would work for me, but would it be moisture-rich enough to shade my lips and soothe my dry skin? That’s a tall order for make-up. Unexpectedly, Bite Beauty was up to the challenge.

The Deconstructed Rose Lipstick Trio has three unique shades of red lipstick for lips and packs enough oils and ‘good stuff’ to be an effective moisturizing balm. The ingredients are fantastic and almost all-natural (Bite Beauty puts the % of natural ingredients on each lipstick package) and this trio ranges from 97% (Damask) to 89% (Grandifolia) natural. It makes sense that the more natural the lipstick, the more ‘slippery’ of a lipstick. Fortunately, I like that on my dry lips! If you love the scent of rose, you will also be impressed by how potent the Rose Otto is when you wear it. I like to reapply just to get the scent. If you are looking for a great moisturizing lipstick and love the smell of roses, I highly recommend trying out this trio or trying one of the shades from Bite Beauty. You will not be disappointed!

Here are the shades and my impression of each lipstick in the Trio;

1). “Grandifolia”: This is a BIG red shade that is perfect if you want a bold color on your lips. Think hitting the town or those who think red lipstick should be worn first thing in the morning.

2.) “Damask”: I love this pink color with my pale skin. It’s definitely on the lighter side and almost has a pink-ish sheer color to it. This was my favorite of the set!

3.) “Centifolia”: Definitely not a lip that I’m used to using! It’s a blend of dark pink and orange. Perhaps a sort of tangerine? I think I can pull it off but I don’t know how it goes with my complexion. I’ll use it when I’m feeling bold.

Note: This can be a HARD trio to get since it only comes out at certain times of the year for a specific period of time and sold exclusively at Sephora. Luckily, you can also purchase the colors separately.
