Socks with Stay On Technology
Our oldest daughter will begin her primary school education at the end of July at a Charter school where she will wear uniforms. Uniforms! It’s such a foreign concept to me that I actually have already done my homework on all of the major uniform companies in the United States and then started branching out to other areas. Her uniform colors and clothing are limited so I think it is important to be able to get quality over quantity and get clothes that look tidy and will last long. After all, the hope is that her clothes will get ‘re-gifted’ to her younger sister when she begins kindergarten.
Socks are one of those items that you don’t think too much about, until you have a pair that is uncomfortable or ill-fitting. Have you ever had to pull up your socks because the elastic was worn out? It’s. So. Annoying. While Brooke does have the option of wearing skirts, long to-the-knee shorts and dress pants, her sock choices are in solid colors with just a few color options. Since most of her clothing is either white or navy, we’ve been really safe and stayed with those colors. I wanted her to have a few pairs of knee high socks but, since she is quite petite, I wanted them to stay up, look nice and be designed for uniform-wear. I’m happy to report that there is a company that provides all those things called Little Grippers.
Little Grippers makes a line of ‘School Socks’ just for kids who wear uniforms. They are made with ‘Stay On’ technology applied to the top of the socks to help them stay in place. The socks are made with a cotton rich content with a little bit of stretch for comfort. The socks are hypoallergenic and has their size knitted on the sole of the sock for easy pairing when doing laundry, as well as a cute little Gecko logo under each foot.
