I love the look of the reverse French manicure and have been sporting the look lately. You know, the one where the area around the cuticles are colored a different shade instead of on the tip. Seriously – I LOVE that look. I only use a clear top coat on the tips and my nails look like they are perfect even after playing guitar (my biggest reason for not wearing nail polish…) So I have been on the lookout for all the new spring and summer colors for my ‘pretty’ nails, as my oldest like to call them, and learned about a company called Dr.’s Remedy. I just had to share.
Dr.’s Remedy is nail polish that is formulated by a podiatrist for what they call ‘advanced nail care’. What is that? Well, the polish is enriched with vitamins and extracts to have long lasting color while strengthening your nails. All of Dr.’s Remedy nail polish does NOT contain Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, Phthalates, or Parabens. My favorite color (which is also their newest color) is called Mindful Mulberry.
THINK SPRING! THINK FEMININE! THINK YUMMY JUICY BERRIES! Yup, the purplish color of Mulberry is all those things and now it is made in a stylish and enriched nail color. I think it is a lovely shade in between Pantone’s color of the year last year (Orchid) and this year (Marsala), so you know it is definitely an ‘on trend’ look for the season and one that is classic at any time. Purple is also Brooke’s favorite color, so she loves seeing it on her momma and likes to have her nails painted to match. Adorable! I love that you can care for your nails while still painting them with polish and when I take off my polish my nails look very healthy. I can’t tell you how happy that makes me – and probably makes my toenails even more excited. Ha.
