Lunchtime Just Got a Whole Lot Better!

Just like work for parents, kids spend the majority of their week day sans their parents in school. Now that my girls are in preschool and – one is soon to be in kindergarten, GASP! – I have really started to see what influence their peers and teachers have on them. Brooke says things that I know she never heard from her father and me and has started to develop her own ideas outside of our family bubble. While I’m learning to be okay with this quite abrupt change from a child who spent her first four years at home with just occasional classes, I am also not willing to not be an active participant in her daily life. I want her to know that I am always here when she needs me and that I do not stop thinking about her all the time. I am not about to stalk her down on her playground, but I do like to give her reminders that she has her family and she is loved during the many hours of the day we are apart. That is why I love fun and non-cheesy cards (because, yes, kids do care about that…ha ha) from Lunchbox Buddies.

Lunchbox Buddies are cute and silly notes you can put in your child’s lunch, jacket or backpack to add a little fun to your child’s day. Each note has a funky character with messages like, “Have an Awesome Day!” and “Your Powers are Amazing!”. Each pack comes with twenty cards, which is enough for an entire month of school per child. We really like the Super Weirdos pack that has hilarious characters that are strange superheroes. Very fun! There is room to add your own personal message to each card or just a quick ‘I love you!’ to let your child know that even though you may not see them as much as you would like, they are never far from your thoughts. LOVE!
