Yes, I am patriotic and am still able to say that I try and work each day to make our country a better place to live. There are changes in my lifetime I have been happy to see in our country and some that I think need work. We are always evolving much like our species in general which is what should – and does – give us hope. I am teaching my girls it is better to be part of the solution than the problem and one way to not repeat future mistakes is to learn from the past. Perhaps that is why I am such a history junkie and always enjoyed civics courses and think it is important to be part of our government. I am hoping this love will rub off on the girls as I try and weave country lessons into our lives on a regular basis.
