Breathe, Give Strength, Go!
Usually the last thing I think about is making accessory purchases for myself. I save purses for YEARS until it is almost embarrassing…..to my husband. Ha. I save my spending for my kiddos and the hubby but lately my purse has gotten completely ridiculous. I’ve had this purse for years (6? 7?) and I think it has completely disintegrated. The zippers fell off and my patchwork designs were not doing the trick. EEK!
How chic! NOT.
As sort of a late New Year’s resolution, since hey, it’s better to be late than never at all, I have decided to get with the program of ‘me’. Time to get out of my comfort of an all-yoga clothes wardrobe and start making more of an effort in this appearance o’ mine. There had to be some middle ground between The Devil Wears Prada and Hobo Chic, right? I am not comfortable in six-inch heels or items that cost more than my car payment but there are lots of great bags out there that are perfect for those like me who want to look put together but not overdone.

I am a person that needs a purse that has a crossbody strap – something that I feel more comfortable with since my early international travel days – and the ripstop coating is an assurance that I may be able to keep this purse as long as my old one, but it won’t look like it.
So, let me remind you of my BEFORE and AFTER purse update pictures below and perhaps you should finally make the upgrade like me. As a mom, I know that I tend to think of everyone else first in my family, but things like a new bag can make you feel ‘together’ even when you are on little sleep and feeling frazzled.
