I recently had a bout of déjà vu and it didn’t feel so great. My oldest daughter looked me up and down in my yoga gear and said, “Are you wearing THAT?” THAT, as in, what are you thinking? You are embarrassing me! I was like, “What?” When did that happen? Then I recalled all the times I said something similar to MY mom when I was a kid. Granted, my mom wore flip flops and never combed her hair, but still, I was now the embarrassment. Then I realized, my daughter was right. I traded comfort for fashion, which was never my strong suit anyway, when I had two kids. I stopped really trying or caring from sheer exhaustion and I made a promise to myself. TRY HARDER. So, I am.

Then I said – I like my comfy yoga clothes. There has to be a happy medium for looking good and still being comfortable. Apparently, after a Google search, I realized many moms felt the same way and one company had a nice solution. I found a line of clothes by Sonnet James that specializes in both comfort and fashion who makes stretchy soft dresses that are perfect for moms on the go. You can still dress UP while still FEELING like you are dressing down.

Where has this been all my life?!?

I fell in love with the new Spring collection dress by Sonnet James called Florence. I love the one piece dress with the striped top and blue bottom that can look sophisticated with a nice belt or more casual without. This is an easy slip on dress made with rayon and spandex (OH so comfy) and is breast-feeding friendly for moms still nursing. Sonnet James has a wonderful line of different dresses to choose from including their cool Spring 2015 collection on pre-order. While I can’t promise you your child will never be embarrassed by you, you will at least have comfort in knowing it is not your sense of style that is causing it!
