You can always tell which yoga pants I bought where I skimped on cost; they start to resemble stretched out tees sometime in their second year. Yikes! While I want to look fashionable, I tend to be on the ‘frugal’ (ahem, the nice way to put it) side. If you are looking for a high quality pair of yoga pants that are in the mid-range price while being a product that looks cool and lasts, you have to look at Mika Yoga Wear. Color me impressed!

Mika Yoga Wear is a Colorado company that makes work out wear for yogis and those in to fitness. I had thought that my favorite pair of yoga pants were low cut capris. I will admit when I’m wrong! I had never considered buying any yoga pants that were high-waist or long. I’m petite so more coverage usually means I am swimming in fabric. Plus, did high-waist yoga pants even exist a few years ago? But, luckily, I am always open to trying something new and I’m so glad I tried a new Mika Yoga Wear original. When I first got in to yoga, there were not a lot of options as far as styles of pants, but boy, things that changed! The latest trend in yoga pants are funky 80s style and new high-waisted pants (nope, no capris!). Yup, for realz! And – I LOVE them!
Mika Yoga Wear has new high-waisted Aerial pants with extra inches on the waistband for great hip hugging style. How totally 80s! And, as Mika’s website states, the pants are ‘muffin’-top proof, but you always have the option of folding the extra material over, which look great, too. The pants come in colors black, blackberry or the ultra funky Moonlit Leo and are also available in my beloved capris. This is definitely my most comfortable pair of yoga pants and I really love the extra coverage. Who knew?
