My fancy oldest daughter is quite the fashionista. She is so girly about what she wears and has not been without some sort of jewelry each day for months. She now insists on wearing certain colors (I will not wear gray, she recently told me!) and since her favorite color is purple, she wants to wear that shade as much as possible. Also, one of her latest obsessions – which I do not mind – is smelling ‘yummy’. I swear just a few weeks ago she was rolling around in dirt and playing with rocks so this change was quite the shock. It appears that her group of friends in preschool (and soon will be starting kindergarten – gulp!) really influence each other so while I am keenly aware that Bob and I are slowly being phased out as Brooke’s only source of information, I like that she wants to take care of herself and be healthy. I like that my daughter can safely pretend to be a grownup with all natural oils and scents that make ‘sense’ for little ones. In fact, it actually makes sense for adults to wear all-natural perfume, too! I may find myself ‘borrowing’ her perfumes more often than I’d care to admit!
