Smith’s Rosebud Salve Tin (0.8 oz)
A miracle in a can! Our world famous Rosebud Salve has been a family favorite since 1892.
I’ve talked and complained about my dry skin on a consistent basis, but I’m always giving recommendations of great products that help me soothe dry lips and skin. Smith’s Rosebud Salve has been a staple of many dermatologists and those ‘in the know’ for years and time I did a review. This American made salve has been used since 1892 in Maryland and now boasts such vendors like Sephora. Yup, something that has been around that long has to be good.
The simplicity of the Rosebud salve formula makes it a non-irritating and calming lip balm that is also very versatile. Although the salve is a must-have lip balm, it is also easy-to-use on dry or chapped elbows and knees and I have read (but have yet to try) the salve also makes an excellent diaper rash cream. I am a sucker for the smell of roses and this salve (besides it’s cotton seed oil and surgical grade Pure White Petrolatum) includes the ingredients of essential oils and botanicals’ that make it smell like a rose garden. It’s such a pleasant and lovely smell but it is the powerful punch of this hydrating formula that makes it a real winner. The salve is an intense lip balm for me that I do not have to constantly re-apply throughout the day and it is quite a deal for just six bucks in the adorable .8 oz tin – which also makes great gifts.
A little really does go a long way! While people complain about the long months of winter for drying out skin, I also find the upcoming hot summer months to be just as brutal, so I am ready for protection this season.
Mandarin Rose and Eucalyptus, Please! Want to try Mandarin Rose and Eucalyptus balm? Yes, please! Rosebud Perfume Company has a long selection and is still adding new products to its lip balm flavors. Be sure to check out the product list page on their website. I am also a huge fan of their strawberry scent. Yum.
