I always found that the story of Matthew McConaughey (a fellow Austinite) and his saying “just keep livin” inspiring. When Matthew was filming a personal favorite movie of mine, Dazed and Confused, here in Austin he was also struggling with his father’s death. His father (or, as he called him, Pop) would tell him “just keep livin” and I think that is such a wonderful way to approach life during both good and bad times. I have personally struggled with many events over the last year and a half and I am so done with holding on to things that bring me down and was ready to start feeding my passions and living true to myself and always live in the moment while loving myself. I want my daughters to look at their mom and feel like they can accomplish anything because I want to be that inspiration for them.
Showing off the capris with ‘the pythons’ and my Cleveland Indians hat – which is a must for running. Not too shabby for three pregnancies (one miscarriage) and a lot of livin’.
Why not shorten this idea to “Just Live“. It sounds POWEFUL. It sounds INTENSE. It is a wonderful mantra each and every day to me. I now OWN that.
