The Little Blue Bus CD by Michael O’Halloran
The debut album from Michael O’Halloran, celebrated Australian singer/songwriter
One thing I remember about elementary school that I did enjoy was singing. Although I went to an ‘at risk’ school in Appalachia, we had a music teacher who would sing songs and play the piano while we all joined in. Not only that, my mom would volunteer her time in our classroom singing and playing guitar for kids. I don’t like to think of school without music and hope that no matter what the curriculum becomes in our public schools, that we still make time for our children to SING.
Michael O’Halloran was a primary school teacher in Australia (Brisbane) who also is a singer/songwriter. A very good singer/songwriter who taught many children his songs in his native country and has won three DOPHIN AWARDS (think our music awards here in the US) for his work. So, it was only natural that Michael finally came out with his own debut album and it is called The Little Blue Bus….and you can own it!
Michael’s 14-track album is a fantastic collection of folk songs with lots of fun instruments for your ears to enjoy. Ever hear a dobro? Now you can! Kids and parents will find the tales of life in Australia to be interesting and the lovely harmonies make this a relaxing laid-back album perfect for any time of the day or night. I love to think that many children over the years have been influenced by Michael’s work and it is nice to know his songs are now available for our kids here in the States. Yes, you can ‘Howl Like a Dingo’ now!
