We recently had to get really creative at giving baby Brie medication when she had to be on several weeks of a Motrin regime when she had a temporary inflammation of her hip. It was not fun! On day three, I asked my husband if there was an easier way. Brie was cranky, we were cranky and having her fight her medicine was getting old really fast and she couldn’t understand that it was making her better! So, I did some research and that is how I discovered the Medi-Pals dispensers for medication and I had to give it a shot.
Medi-Pals is an oral medication dispenser for young children. The syringe has a soft material that includes a pacifier end for easy and painless dosage administration. The adorable faceplates give a nice familiar distraction so your child can quickly get their medication. I noticed a big difference in using the pacifier with a diverter since the medicine was dispensed to the sides of Brie’s mouth instead of straight down the throat. Genius! While I can’t promise you your child will like taking medication, Medi-Pals certainly makes the process easier. We have started to use it for her daily vitamins with great results, too.
