I immediately fell in love with Lulujo’s muslin cotton security blankets. They reminded me of the ‘momma’ blankets (as my younger sister dubbed them) when I was little. The soft satin sides, the nice warm cotton; my brother and sister and I all had one in a different color. While my siblings would carry around their blankies and I am pretty sure my sister went through three of four in her younger years, I always had the same light yellow blanket I would keep by my bed. While it was always pristine, it was always there. So, why hadn’t I gotten any security blankets for the girls? I bet they would love them! So, I did.
What makes Lulujo’s security blankets so special is that they are made with breathable muslin cotton (ahhh!) with the lovely satin edge my daughters love to scrunch up on their cheeks. As someone who still has her yellow blanket, security blankets are an item many kids keep into their adulthood so it is fun to get a design that showcases our love of music with the sweet acoustic blue guitars. I love that each package contains two identical blankets (40×40 cm) so you can give one to a separate sibling or stash one away in case the ‘lovey’ is ever lost, missing, or your child can’t bear to be away from it for even a wash. The horror! Bob and I both had soft security blankets as kids, and it is so nice to be able to gift the gift of comfort for our kiddos wherever they go.
