I admit that each time I go to Seattle, I find myself going back to the same original Starbucks coffee. I love the historic Pike Place Market, the fun original look and, of course, the coffee. I love coffee although I’ve slowly weaned myself off from many cups a day to just one cup, I like awesome coffee to really make that one yummy, hot cup in the morning count. So, instead of just going back to the same old thing, I started to broaden my horizons in special artisan coffee which is how I discovered Bean Box. What is Bean Box? Simple, really. Bean Box is a monthly subscription box that contains four unique coffee roasts each month from Seattle. The coffee beans (yes, beans, so a grinder is definitely needed – but there is no better way for fresh tasting coffee) are always fresh and shipped within a day or two of roasting. Yummmm. Each box comes with a profile of the roaster, tasting notes and a brew guide. Each bag contains about four cups of coffee, so sixteen cups per box – which is over two weeks worth of coffee for me! You can specify if you would like a light, medium or dark roast or even do a combination of roasts for your box.
