Reading might seem like something that came naturally to me now, but I have to say I had a lot of practice. It helps that I come from a family of readers and books were one thing we did not lack in our house. As my daughter is starting to spell out words and make sentence connections, I love book series like I Am A Reader! by Sleeping Bear Press that is geared toward beginning and emergent readers. We like to sound out words together and point to each word as we go to add to the fun and learning!
Digger and Daisy are dogs that happen to be brother and sister. We have gotten to know these two through this series and the stories are always fun and playful. These two siblings may disagree at times, but they always resolve their issues and have a genuine love for each other (Awww!) In this book, Digger and Daisy go to the ‘BIG CITY’, but have different activities they would like to do. How can they do what they each would like and still have a good time? As always, the Digger and Daisy books are entertaining with an appropriate guided reading level for kindergarten to first grade. Love!
