A young girl learns it’s a lot of work, and a lot of fun, to have a younger brother

I wanted to get I was Born to be a Sister for my oldest daughter. She can definitely relate to having a younger sibling who is a rambunctious toddler. While she LOVES her little sis, there are times when Brie frustrates her, messes up her stuff and gets attention for simply being small and needing more help. I can understand. I had a younger sister at that age, too! So, it was nice to read an honest account written from the perspective of a child (the story is written by a sixth grader) about a girl who goes through all those emotions yet comes to the overall conclusion that she was ‘born to be a sister’. Geared towards ages 3-7, this is an appropriate read for older siblings anticipating the arrival of a new baby or those older siblings who need some special bonding time as the older child.
