As much as I get embarrassed at the drop of a hat, I never get embarrassed doing silly thing with my kids. Add making funny bird songs to that list, and that about sums up the latest and greatest book from Dawn Publishing entitled ‘Noisy Bird Sing-Along’! I happen to be an amateur bird-enthusiast, so I am quite familiar with how many birds sound without the added onomatopoeia affect, but for those not in the bird-call know, will find this book’s words helpful and encouraging. I did find a few calls a little difficult to emulate (how exactly do you replicate a Downy Woodpecker’s tap?), but it was all in good fun. Add in the ‘Fun Facts about Birds’ and ‘Birdy Things to Do’ at the end of the book and this is a real winner. Quack, Quack!
