One of my moms other passions is coin collecting.  She got us kids into it early.  We’d look at each found coin with an interest.  Was there something special about it?  The first time I went to a foreign country, I had to save each coin to bring back.  Coins seemed worth more; coins worth lots of dollars and made so beautifully it was like a little treasure.  They weren’t just for kids to collect in their piggy banks!
