My daughter, the ballerina, was able to take classes by luck and chance. At her age, the focus on breathing and balancing has been fantastic for her, especially since as a preemie, her motor skills were delayed as a baby. Boy, that didn’t last! But, we also were diligent in finding ways for her to practice and ballet stuck. I’m sorry to say her classes are done and until we figure out a way to get her back into a ballet class, she dances and balances on her own (she’s even learning to walk on block STILTS! AMAZING!) So, a beautiful book on ballet with an overview of its history has been a true favorite of hers she wants me to read over and over. And OVER. In fact, she wants all things BALLET. Clothes, shoes, dolls…etc…
