Noses Are Not For Picking (Board Book)
With gentle humor and kid-friendly support, this board book for toddlers and preschoolers helps guide little ones away from nose picking toward healthier habits
My oldest daughter has the dreaded Austin allergies. Her nose runs A LOT. It was a process to get her to keep her hands out of her nose when she claimed, ‘the boogers are too hard’ to come out in a tissue and her favorite saying a year ago was, ‘I’m picking my nose IN SECRET.’ Yeah, it wasn’t exactly in secret when she would just turn around for all to see her picking habit. Since she is finally growing out of that habit, this book came at the PERFECT time. Picking your nose is not only yucky, it also spreads germs and we all know how kids get other kids sick. They forget to WASH THEIR HANDS.
Elizabeth Verdick is the queen of writing toddler friendly books that are funny and on point in helping kids CHOOSE healthy habits. Using tissues and washing hands are easy things to TELL toddlers, but are not always easy for them to remember or do when they have a runny nose. I know. We’ve been there! Just remember, “noses are for breathing, sniffing, smelling . . . but not for picking!” Amen! Fabulous books for all those little booger pickers out there!
