Frozen Holiday Workshop by Foodie Kids (Local)
An Austin Culinary Center for Kids! Healthy Recipes. Happy Kids.
I LOVE making food with Brooke. It’s actually something we all (you know, the BACON family) enjoy, especially around the holidays. We usually find a local place to do gingerbread houses and have even successfully made them at home. But, I was quite shocked to see something called Foodie Kids. Do you Austinites know about this place? It’s an actual CULINARY CENTER FOR KIDS. Right here. In Austin. That focuses on making food for and with kids (you can do drop off depending on the classes) that focuses on healthy recipes. What? Yes, please.
Then I saw this and about flipped out:
Frozen Magic Snow Castle Gingerbread House Decorating
Do you want to build a snow castle?
I was like…..Frozen® like THE Frozen® movie? The one my oldest will not stop talking about? I read more.
“Attendees will embellish freshly made gingerbread houses and turn them into Frozen® Snow Castles with royal icing and all sorts of Snow Princess candies and decorations. Kids will enjoy Snow Queen Punch and Tiny Snowball Cookies. Recipes included.”
No way! So, we decided to check it out because 1. IT’S FROZEN 2. It’s a great way to spend time with the kids and 3. Food Kids has classes and workshops ALL YEAR LONG. In fact, they even have some Frozen New Year workshops. That’s not all, they offer courses, healthy lunches to go from their ‘Makery’ and will even COME TO YOUR CHILD’S school to teach a course. Wow.
So how did our Frozen Workshop go? As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words:
About Foodie Kids (which I totally took from their website since it is just that good):
