Oh, how I remember those snowy dark days alone in the woods or making snow forts and snowmen in Ohio as a child. Bundled to the hilt and off in my own world, snow is quiet, peaceful and not to mention FREEZING. Still, my daughter, the TEXAN, thinks snow is just the greatest so we read a lot of books on snow around the holidays. Hey, she might not see a flake FOR REAL, but to her it doesn’t matter. She IMAGINES it.

And of course the book is a gem and has an interesting history. This book is groundbreaking for its time both for its art and content.
