It’s funny to think that I used to live in a little world where I could play outside after dark and go riding my bike for miles alone. We used to go to county fairs and the like when I was a pre-teen and teen and we lived in a very small and basically safe city that we could do that. I wish I could say the same today because it even gives me pause to let my preschooler in our gated backyard without me.
