It’s getting close to the holidays so I’m hunting down outfit deals. See, I have only lived in my home state of Ohio for three years of my adult life and that was almost all in Cincinnati – so opposite side of Ohio from where I grew up. I became infamous for sending holiday picture cards and frames. 1. It’s CHEAP (thank you Dollar General for your frames) and 2. I don’t want my parents to forget what I look like. Skype is great and is e-mail and text, but it’s NOT THE SAME.

It is probably pretty apparent if you read my blog that I love to dress up. Any excuse to make an event into a really fun time where, for a moment in time, you can be something else. I guess that is why I loved being in a Junior Players Group. The wardrobe room WAS my garden o’ eden. And now, the girls, the hubby and I get to join in on family traditions that usually center around – what else?

Getting Dressed Up for Holiday Pictures!

It started the first year with Brooke that produced this lovely picture of her flipping off the camera and it’s been going EVER SINCE. And, it is so fun to look back.

We have one with the whole family (Bob has a red tie, etc.), but this is the one people talk about….

I start with a central color and work my way from there. We’ve done green, blue, red, silver and this year since my oldest wants to be the leader of all things said, I want LAVENDER. OK. I can roll with that. Why lavender? I’m sure it has to do with my talks of essential oils and loved the color when I showed her some pictures MONTHS ago. She remembered. So – lavender it is. And, of course, I have to look for shoes as PediPed first because, well, just search “Pediped” on my blog and you will see why!
