Mama Yoga and the Story of Namaste (Yoga Book and Guide for Kids)
Yoga Book and Guide for Kids
You know, the funny thing is that I started writing reviews for a Yoga Mom’s Group and I don’t nearly do enough yoga posts now. I mean, I LOVE it. I practice daily (well, with my screwed up back now, I’m not ‘supposed’ to at the moment…but I still do stretches) and it is a big part of who I am. Yoga is my meditation. It’s my quiet time. It’s how I make myself figure out the world while thinking of the silliness of it all. The World. Our Lives. Those deep dark thoughts we all have but never dare say out loud, I like to meditate on them. It makes me feel – enlightened.
And you know what – I learned there are good and bad yogis. I like to practice by myself and my oldest daughter. That’s why I LOVE books and guides to be a better instructor by being a better STUDENT. As a book reviewer, I know when books come out and I KNEW I wanted to review it and now I’m glad I did.
- The author was raised a Texan (Yeehaw!)
- She was an elementary school teacher before getting certified to teach kid’s yoga
- SHE TEACHES YOGA TO KIDS (yes, I know I repeated myself, but it’s my blog….so……)
- She TEACHES in this book. Where does Namaste come from? Do you know it’s used in many countries?
The best part of the book is all the action and movement you do with your child. You learn moves and how to LISTEN. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
