We love the Moose books (this is the second in this series) because….well, Brooke is a little like moose. She interjects herself in all conversations (ok, not ALL, but a lot) and she wants to be the center of attention. This is the premise of the story. This is a shape book made my Moose’s best friend Zebra, but MOOSE WON’T STOP trying to get into the book. Sounds familiar, parents? It’s a cute and realistic book and the Zebra (such a patient one) is more than nice to try and CALM Moose down. This isn’t a MOOSE book after all, he says, this is a SHAPES book. Fortunately, kids do learn the shapes and also opens up a great topic of LISTENING when others speak and, well, NOT be like Moose. Two hoofs up!
