Lots of Fun with Rhyming Riddles
Get ready for a parent brag! My child is a genius! OK, I’ll stop now. Of course, most parents feel that way about their children. They came from us, they ARE perfect. And they are, no matter their IQ. By “genius” I mean, she’s creative, she thinks outside the box, she is empathetic and she is not shy. About Anything. Like, EVER. *embarrassing face-palm slap*
So, when I saw the word “Little” in one of Sleeping Bear Press’s the Little series, I thought, ‘nah, too young for Brooke.” She gets bored but (ummmm) board books now and needs more excitement…but then we read it and holy Riddler, Batman, this IS an awesome book for PRESCHOOLERS! It is a riddle book and it is SO MUCH FUN. Here’s an example:
Riddle 6: Eat it up fast, while it’s still very cold. One scoop or two scoops, in a cone or a bowl!” Then, you let your child guess before turning the page to reveal the answer.
Brooke LOVED it. So, I guess I better brush up on the rest of this series which includes books like, Little Baseball and Little Halloween. Cool!
