A First Book for Future Hockey Stars
I don’t know a thing about hockey besides what I learned from watching Wayne’s World. I’ve never even BEEN to a hockey game. I mean, I’ve had chances to go….but….ummmmm, I just didn’t…..ice and cold, people beating people up, I don’t know…. Maybe if I actually went to a game, I’d feel differently. I’ll put that on hold for a New Year’s Bucket List…
Anyway, the thing is, your kiddos may have quite different loves than you and I want to support that. Am I jazzed Brooke thinks princesses are the BEST THING EVER at the moment?!? Well, not totally, but I play the heck out of her Bella and Sophia dolls with her. So, if she wants to *heart* HOCKEY, well, why not expose her to a sport I knew nothing about. I mean, NOTHING.

- The boy’s father is the coach and it is in his voice *SIGH* So cute.
- It has a quick and fun rhyming scheme
- It teaches great sportsmanships! “If we lose, our heads hand low – sometimes that’s just how things go.” Love it!
- I think we understand hockey now. Now I wouldn’t know what the Stanley Cup looked like (ok, now I have to Google it….sigh), but at least I know what it is now! Small steps!
