We have been a fan of Laurie Berkner’s music since her Christmas album, A Laurie Berkner Christmas (see my past review here and here). Brooke was all about her song ‘Candy Cane Jane’ and I think I heard it at least a hundred times over the last two years ago. For those who don’t know Laurie, she is a former preschool music teacher who became an indie rocker extraordinaire overnight. She began selling her music over ten years ago on her own independent label, Two Tomatoes Records. Interestingly, Laurie was the first artist to appear in music videos on Nick Jr. and is frequently featured in episodes of the channel’s Jack’s Big Music Show as well as having a new Sprout network feature called ‘Sing it Laurie’. Very cool!

Now I review tons of children’s albums. Our most favorite family-friendly albums end up on review on this very blog! But, even I could have not predicted the amount of success Laurie is having! Kudos to her! We love her songs, we love her success and we wish her much more in the future! Her songs are catchy, fun and her musical talent backs up her love of making music for children. IT SHOWS! Sprout Network took notice, too! YES!

So if you haven’t been keeping up with Laurie’s music, you MUST check out this album that represents SIX of her previous albums! WOWSA! See, it won’t take you and your preschooler long to catch up and love her music (hopefully) as much as we do! This IS the Ultimate Laurie collection and one that she has earned from her popular music, television interactions and now her online games and songs through Sprout!
