I sometimes run out of fun learning activities for our preschooler soon to be kindergartener that I need to call in help! Luckily, there are so many WONDERFUL resources right here in the good ol’ USA including the North Dakota based Funshine Express! They have wonderful curricula including the opportunity to buy learning monthly kits! Oh yes. I had to try a monthly kit!

We got to review the month of September which was really fun. As a mom who has spent a few years developing my own home fun educational play with my oldest, I was definitely impressed by the ease and creativity of the kit. I mean, if you are doing a home school or have a play group, this is your month’s worth of learning. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was how “NEAT” it was….by that I mean, tidy. Each activity was separately sealed with instructions! Halleluiah organization! I think it has everything you’d ever want to review in a month for a Preschooler! You have calendars, weather info, art supplies, practice pages, focus on specific letters, numbers, colors and shapes. Everything is included and you can work at your own pace and even online. It even has a music and movement CD (which comes FREE with a 3 month subscription purchase). The coolest thing I learned?

THE STARTER PACK IS FREE with a year kit purchase. Also, you can request specifics like you’d rather have journals over practice pages. You know, stuff us pseudo-homeschooling moms like to do, too. But, this program can also be used for teachers of Pre-K and the September Teacher’s Pack is just amazing.

November Kit? The theme for November is Sleep Tight! and Let’s Give Thanks. It focused on the letters G, H and I and the numbers 7 and 8 as well as the color brown and the shape of a rectangle. VERY COOL. I like that you can incorporate so much FUN and ARTSY activities to help cement children’s learning. This isn’t a BORING kit, it’s fun, creative and both educational and enriching way to supplement my child’s education. Yeah!
