I was a child of the 80s, which meant I remember a lot of chemical products yet households full of real plants. My great-aunts house looked like a jungle. What a weird decade, am I right? Bob and I were laughing about that toxic lifestyle yet the want of beautiful luscious green spaces as we just had to tune in to Beverly Hills Cop II after a very exhausting day of…well…life! This started a whole conversation of what plants we each had in our household and both us, fondly I might add, had great memories of our huge aloe plants.
I think our parents were somehow tuned into that whole ‘baby boomer and horticulture’ connection and aloe was like their sacred cure-all from my Gen X perspective. Got a cut? Why try….well, ok, aloe can’t obviously cure everything, but it is a succulent plant species with wonderful medicinal and cosmetic purposes as well as being all natural.
So aloe in a hair detangler?
Yes, it works! Wonderfully! And it smells ‘clean’. It is also very gentle for the Momma’s Bacon family o’ sensitive skin. This safe detangler for kids smoothes hair and easily gets rid of tangles. Yes, I use it, too (hey, I have tangles, too.) Silk proteins and Vitamin B-5 is also included in this formula to add extra strength and shine.
