Did you know that you can go on a glass bottom boat close to Austin? Yes! It is true! I actually didn’t know about it until one of the alums from Texas State, who happens to be a co-worker, told me about it. And then I said – tell me where I need to go, I want to get on one! Out of all the boats and floating devices (I used to love kayaking) I’ve explored my whole life, I had never been on a glass bottom boat. How COOL is that to be able to actually see what is underneath you as you float on the water’s surface?
I mean, SO COOL!
As soon as I saw GeoSafari’s new Underwater Explorer Boat in their new summer products for kids, I knew I had to get it for Brooke. Our little ‘mermaid’ is such a water-bug (ahhh, just like me!) and I couldn’t wait to show her that she now had her very own ‘glass’ bottom boat.
I mean I really couldn’t wait. I sorta told her it was coming before it arrived in the mail. Big Mistake. But -it finally arrived and life was good again! Lesson Learned, Momma!
Now, this toy is probably one of my favorite toys right now. Yeah, so, Brooke’s opinion counts and she LOVES it, too – but I LOVE LOVE it. It is perfect for the summer and I could even see families taking it on vacation for their explorer kids age 3 and older. The boat itself is based on a real scientific tool and the ‘glass bottom’ is, of course, a kid-safe clear bottom with a built in 3x magnifier! Right now we are just exploring in our backyard pool, but perhaps we can made it to South Padre this year. If so, this toy is coming with us! Austinites!
