Endless Construction Fun for Preschoolers!
So much of what I do in life seems SO intangible. I analyze data to….snooze….
Now, my parents, on the other hand have some mad design skills that I quite envy since all my designs end up looking like a Picasso nightmare come to life. I recently posted a childhood picture of a deck. My dad built. Yeah, he actually built it. It had a gazebo with a fan. It took time, but he built it. My mom quilts, she baskets, she draws with a (GASP!) ruler! A ruler? What is that? So, this is not my forte. Wish it was. It isn’t. But, my oldest girl loves to design and build and, unlike me, she gets into the very intricate design details. And guess what? There is a brand new toy on the market that teaches our kids how to use socket wretches for creative design and fine motor skills. Alright!
About the Design & Drill Socket Set:
- Working Socket Wrench with Attachable Bolts in Bright Colors
- Booklet with Four Construction Projects
- No batteries required!
Brooke’s Thoughts? Oh man! Brooke loved this set! She has a little construction Lego table in her room that quickly became her socket project construction site. I definitely agree with the age four and up recommendation because while this tool is great at developing fine motor skills, it is more like tweaking the already existing motor skills for further development in preschoolers! We love open ended-items and, to be honest, I’m the only one that completed the four projects in the included booklet. Brooke was too busy making furniture for her stuffed animal friends. Ha! Awesome fun and great way to get your little ones thinking and building!
