PolarPillow vs Turbo-Cooling pillowcases (Age 3+)

There is a new product on the market to allow your pillows to give you a cool feeling during those sick, hot or any night if you or your child are feeling overheated.
1. Turbo-Cooling Pillowcase ($45.00)
Overview: The turbo-cooling pillow case will turn any average pillow into a cooling pillow with a special pocket for a cooling gel accessory.
Momma’s Bacon input: Did you know that many kids suffer from night sweats. Cooling pillows and pillow cases help cool kids down. The cold pack and cooling gel are perfectly safe for children and adults. I learned that cooling down the head at night can actually help you kids fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Ummmm, yeah, sign me up!
2. PolarPillow ($99.00)
Overview: The PolarPillow is the original ‘super-charged’ cooling pillow for ages three and up.
Momma’s Bacon input: The PolarPillow has more cooling gel in it so it stays cool for a longer time. The downside, the pillow can be a bit heavy and even sometimes a little too firm for some people, especially kiddos. I can definitely notice it is still quite cool even in the morning, which is awesome!
Momma’s Bacon Thoughts: The Turbo-Cooling pillowcase (Polar-Pillow’s newest product) allows you to use your favorite standard pillow (for comfort) but also has place to store a cooling pack. I love that you can turn any standard pillow into a cooling pillow for half the price! Both products have made a big difference in getting Brooke to sleep but I think she loves the Turbo-Cooling pillowcase the best, which -score- is half the price of the PolarPillow! I, however, like the PolarPillow since it offers extra support.
Brooke’s Recommendation: While the Turbo-Cooling pillowcase does not stay as cool as the PolarPillow, it stays cool enough to help Brooke fall asleep if she is feeling hot. I think she likes that she can still use her own standard pillow with it, too. You know how picky preschooler are and she does understand that it is her ‘owl’ pillow underneath the pillowcase.
