Barefoot Comfort – Customized Fit
My mom, the eternal hippie, never wears shoes if she can get away with it. Now that she is no longer in the work force, it is flip-flops or nothing. As a child, I was quite embarrassed that people who visited might have perceived my mom didn’t even own real shoes (which was sort of true – yet – we lived in Appalachia – so come on now!) yet my mom never seemed to care about those sorts of things. Her feet were her shoes. D’uh!
Well, apparently, my mom actually had the right idea in a way – experts agree that barefoot walking is the best thing for healthy foot development and proper posture. Luckily, we have been able to train our preschooler to wear shoes outside the house but when she is in the house she is barefoot – no socks or anything. My toes get cold just thinking about it. I was intrigued by the KidOFit Shoes with their transparent soles and barefoot ergonomically correct feel. KidOFit shoes were created by Ron Bar, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, who just so happens to specialize in foot biomechanics and ergonomics design.
There are a lot of advantages to these unique shoes, and here are just a few:
- Customized Fit. A heel strap and two sets of inserts come with the shoes.
- Ergonomic Design. The shoes are soft and flexible and conform to the child’s feet.
- Transparent Soles. Check it out below!
I mean, check out these transparent soles to see how your kids toes are positioned. Pretty cool, right?!
Brooke loves her cool new shoes and thinks it is funny she can see her toes before we put in the inserts (she wears both of them right now). Perhaps I can get Brooke to keep them on all this summer! She already wants to wear these shoes without socks all the time so I have to say she must love the comfort…..and she may have a bit of my mom in her…..
Check it out! KidOFit Shoes come in many designs for all genders and in children’s sizes 4-12.
