Dancer Girl Story: One Step At a Time!
My oldest daughter wants to dance. We put her in a gymnastics class hoping to burn off energy and at the end of the semester when she learned they had DANCE CLASSES there, too, she begged. PLEASE! I really want to dance! But, but….isn’t gymnastics more of a sport? I know…face palm. I get it now. Dance takes a lot of athletic ability and work. If my daughter wants to give it a shot, sure! Let’s do it whole-heartedly. At least for the summer. That’s all that is paid for thus far and depending on if she is as dedicated as she has been in her weekly gymnastics class, I think we may have a budding dancer on our hands!
The Go! Go! Sports Girls Book and Play Kit is dedicated to a sports line of dolls and books for girls in order to promote healthy life skills. We love it! We, of course, choose M.C. who just happens to be the dancer. You can choose from a variety of sports including basketball, golf and running. I love how the doll and book promote daily exercise in order to achieve goals like improving your performance in a sport. The M.C. doll comes with a towel and backpack as well as a workout dance uniform which I think is a nice touch. This product doesn’t just focus on daily exercise to improve at sports, it also focuses on a holistic approach including getting enough sleep and eating the right foods. This is definitely in line with what we are teaching our oldest daughter and thought this kit incorporated those ideas nicely. We all need to dream big and get encouragement, but we also need to do all the legwork to get there. I think the Go! Go! Sports Girls do a great job at delivering that message to girls.
