I can’t imagine anything more terrifying than loosing your balance with a baby in your arms. It’s the same feeling I get when I watch my oldest doing her daredevil moves on a daily basis. If we can make it without going to the emergency room before kindergarten I will consider life a success! I am big on preventative care including all things safety because 1. I am definitely paranoid about my daughters’ safety and 2. I have friends who have had some major life changers based on accidents that could have been easily prevented. Fortunately, there are many great safety prevention products on the market and one that has even helped me avoid injuries is bath treads in our tub and Puj has some great new bath treads on the market! Puj Bath Treads come in packs of six large circles that peel and grip to your bathtubs surface to give your kid’s traction in the tub to prevent injury. This is a perfect solution to bath tub safety for those who rent, like our family, since these bath treads are not permanent. The treads have a secure adhesive on the bottom that you need to wait until it is dry before using. Puj notes on their website that you can also use their treads on your bathroom floors to prevent slipping when climbing out of the tub. I may have to get another pack for that. Tip! Yes, wait the full 24-hours for the treads to dry before using. Otherwise, they will float to the top! Just trust me. I will include the actual instructions from Puj below for those impatient people like me. I can’t be the only one, right?
Proper installation of Puj Bath Treads
- Clean the tub surface with any normal bathroom cleaner
- Rinse tub with water to remove soap and residue from tub surface
- Allow tub to completely dry
- Place treads on tub surface and press firmly on all parts of the tread
- Let stand for 24 hours before using
Note: If the bath tub floor already has a textured surface, the treads won’t be able to make contact and stick. Treads recommended for smooth bottom tubs only.
