Organic Skincare for Babies
Baby hair is such an interesting thing to manage, especially when I was a new parent, and I have been on another quest recently to find the best shampoos for my baby. Both my girls were born with dark brown hair that was replaced with very blonde fuzzy hair a few months later. Brie has the same dry skin that Brooke has but with one difference – we have had to deal with the dreaded cradle cap this time. This has meant a lot of extra dry scalp care including those fun newborn soft brushes and different oils. Sensitive skin shampoo is a must and I look for things like all natural ingredients and organic essential oils. As you know, shampoos are not created equal and I have found that we like to test different things on the market to see what is out there and stick with products that work for us. We have had many ‘never again’ moments with products but also quite a bit of ‘wow this works great’ moments, too. Erbaviva Baby Shampoo is one of the baby shampoos we love.
Erbaviva Baby Shampoo is an all natural and organic essential oil shampoo blend that is perfect for all ages and especially made for newborns. The organic essential oils included in the shampoo are lavender, chamomile and Oregon grape extract and it smells so yummy. Many all natural shampoos do not get a great lather, but Erbaviva Baby Shampoo effectively lathers without drying using Quillaja, an evergreen tree bark extract. It was nice to have the lathering properties without any chemicals! Erbaviva does not irritate Brie’s sensitive scalp and the included oils helps when I use the soft baby brush when washing her hair. Erbaviva is completely free of laurel sulfates and chemicals and is perfect for our whole family. I have yet to try the other products in their baby skincare baby product line, but if it is anything like their shampoo, I bet they are excellent.
