Hand Drawn 4 ft x 6 ft vinyl city map play mat that is easy to store and clean
On most evenings after dinner, Brooke and daddy take walks around our neighborhood and, when Brie is not napping, we will go together as a family. We talk about the different routes and landmarks we take (we like to mix it up and do different long and short walks) and our approximate location to ‘Squirrel Park’ – one of Brooke’s favorite places to go. We have even showed her the aerial maps on websites like Google Maps so she can get a feel for the different locations. How fun! The Joey Town Kids Play Mat is a large hand-drawn vinyl play mat that is lots of fun for kids. The city map is laid out with lots of different locations for your child to pretend. Want to visit the airport and fly to a new city? Sure! What about checking out a book at the local library? Let’s go! The vinyl material makes this play mat easy to transport and clean. My oldest has used so many different toys on this mat from her Hot Wheels to her Little People figures to her little Doc McStuffins characters to explore the map. There is certainly no shortage in entertainment in the Joey Town city. I love that this map was created by a mom of seven kids who wanted to make a lasting fun activity that all her kids could use. This is definitely a crowd-pleaser and I can see it lasting for our little baby when she gets older, too. The artwork really makes this play mat stand out (‘drive’ to places like the bank, library and airport) and it is always fun to see Brooke using her imagination in play. Oh, I also taught Brooke the importance of driving on the right side of the road in the U.S. with her Match Box cars, so can I factor ‘early-driving lessons’ into the mix? Ha!
