I make it a point to check out all of the MOMpreneur nominees every year. I want to support mom entrepreneurs and I look for products that I think our family would love to test out. I only review products for my blog that I love and I found a really good one this year! If you are like our family, the kiddos are always on-the-go and taking packed lunches helps to save money. While our youngest is still on the mostly-milk diet, my oldest is in so many activities and events that she may be waiting hours until her next meal. While a normal thermos can certainly work, we like our cold drinks to stay ice cold and our hot drinks to stay toasty. We are not the only ones who feel this way, MOMpreneur finalist Gwenda Lindhorst-Ko went a step further and invented MyColdCup!
MyColdCup was Gwenda’s answer to her son’s school lunch problem of keeping his milk ice cold. Each 8 oz. cup comes with a removable ‘freeze stick’ that is placed inside the cup after freezing that keeps drinks cold for a little over five hours. The cup is made with unbreakable stainless steel without any BPA or phthalates. The top has a latch lock lid and has an extra wide opening for easy clean-up. Remember, this is a cup that is geared toward elementary children, so it does not have a straw (but works well with younger children if you are having lunch with them while on-the-go!) If your child likes their drinks to stay extra cold when you are out and about, this is definitely the perfect cup for you! Available in blue and green colors (with a pink color coming soon!) New Design! Latch lock design is on the MyColdCup lids has been improved and I was lucky to get one of the first models that were finished manufacturing in December. Well worth the wait! Also, be on the lookout for the new 16 oz. MyColdCups in the near future.
