I am really digging the What Does It Mean To Be . . . ?® Series by Little Pickle Press for their relevant topics and sweet tone their books offer. I was familiar with their What Does It Mean to Be Safe book and I still read that often to my daughter. These are not easy topics to tackle and Little Pickle Press does it so effortlessly. In the Global book, the focus is on the different communities, traditions and values of each culture. Learning, exploring and appreciating other cultures through education and travel did not start with me until I was a teen. It is so important to me to help my daughters understand the importance of valuing others in the world. I love how the illustrations take you to sites all over the globe, the wording also teaches your children to speak in other languages or learn a new recipe. What does it mean to be global? Read this book and your child will have an awesome understanding!

Sneak peek at a global education effort in our household! Brooke sent her stuffed animal to Japan to be part of a stuffed animal tour around Tokyo through Unagi Travel.
