It is hard enough to move to a new town, so imagine how it must feel when you move to a new planet with a new species?! Edgar the robot misses his home with his other robot friends and his new monster acquaintances scare him. They seem so strange to him! Plus, this weird monster keeps looking at him funny. Perhaps he should give him (Cecil) a chance and try and make friends. This is a great book for a child who has just moved to a new town and might feel a little ‘out of this world’. It has also been a great book to discuss new situations with our daughter, Brooke, who attends new events and classes on a regular basis. While she is a very social child, it has been a very good reminder to all of us in our family that there will be times we may feel shy and awkward but we are all in good company.
