Do you write thank you notes as a family?  It’s always been a tradition which did start out as a chore, but is now something ingrained in my life.  I started Brooke in the thank you letter business at an early age.  When she could scribble, I’d write the words.  When she could dictate, I made sure her full expression was captured on the card.  When she starts writing her own thank you notes, they will be between her and the recipient and I do hope I taught her well.  I know I mentioned this before, but I had the opportunity to read thank you cards I wrote at an early age from relatives who have passed away.  They lovingly saved all of my cards and it was fun to go back and read them.  Letters are special to the recipients, and it shows you care enough to take the time out of your busy love to show you are thinking of them.  It is also fun to get cool stationary, stickers and even really need self-addressed stampers!
